Heart-Centred Joy
A journey back to yourself.
Poetry, music, reflections and embodied explorations of the messy, beautiful journey of being human.
What if there is nowhere else you need to arrive?
Heart-Centred Joy isn’t about being happy all the time, or becoming a better version of yourself. It’s about coming home to more of who you already are.
This is a space for exploring the messy, beautiful experience of being human: our bodies, relationships, sexuality, grief, creativity, spirituality, pleasure, pain and everything that refuses to fit neatly into a box.
There are many ways into this work. Follow the path that speaks to you.

The human behind the work
Hi, I’m Bia Bliss Hennings.
I’m the human behind Heart-Centred Joy.
Since 2012, I’ve been exploring what happens when we stop trying to become who we think we’re supposed to be, and start listening more closely to what is already here.
That journey has taken me through sexuality and embodiment, relationships and grief, non-dual inquiry, creativity and counselling. Along the way I’ve written a lot of things I didn’t yet know what I was going to do with.
Heart-Centred Joy is where those threads finally get to belong together.

Conversations worth having
I love conversations that move beyond polished answers and into the places where being human gets interesting.
Moving beyond the endless self-improvement project, and creating the conditions for who we already are to unfold.
What sexuality, mindful self-pleasure and the body can teach us about presence, desire, intimacy and coming home to ourselves.
Grief, identity, relationships and the messy reality of transformation when the old maps stop working.
Authenticity, belonging, visibility and the courage to let ourselves be seen without contorting ourselves to be accepted.
